Need Emergency Support?

It’s a really positive step that you are exploring counselling support.

Counselling is a safe place you can regularly explore your worries and feelings, which can help you feel better over time. Importantly, counselling is NOT medical or emergency support. It’s important you know about other services that can support you outside of your counselling sessions.

Services that can help:

- You can speak with your GP for any concerns about your mental health. Your GP won’t judge, and can explore the best options for you.

Use the DocReady website to help if you’re not sure what to say.

- If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, call 111 and select the ‘mental health’ option, or call the Crisis Line on 0800 953 0110. The team can help work out options and an immediate plan to keep you safe.

- If you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, call 999 or visit your nearest A&E department.

Between our counselling sessions, it can be helpful to have someone to speak to for extra support.
